History

Lloyds World Travel Service of Canada Ltd. opened their doors in 1952, making Lloyds the oldest travel agency in Vancouver. The Weymark family bought the agency in 1964 and five years later there were six branches. Lloyds quickly became well known in the area of corporate travel. In 1986 when Wendy Fougner (Weymark) assumed ownership, two agencies were sold off and three were merged into one location at 730 West Broadway. The agency changed its name to Lloyds Travel & Cruises in 1997.

Since 1990, Lloyds has expanded its reach to serve clients worldwide. With an understanding that a travel agent cannot serve all of a client's interests, they have amassed a team of experts in different areas of travel. Through several acquisitions over the years (Centennial Travel, Red Rocket Travel, Kennedy Travel, Banner Travel, Trans Globe Travel and Breakaway Vacations), Lloyds has expanded to the point where they are top producers with several travel wholesalers and cruise lines.

Our Mission

At Lloyds, we strive to provide exceptional service, best value, and peace of mind to our customers by developing mutually beneficial relationships through professionalism, reliability, care and innovation.
