Your adventure begins in the beautiful Susa Valley, just above Claviere. This area has rolling hills covered with a multitude of wild flowers, beautiful larch forests and picturesque mountain lakes. During this exciting and varied week you will get the opportunity to ride through spectacular mountain scenery and explore historic rural villages. You will stay in a selection of locally owned hotels where you will get to try out the delicious local cuisine.

Profile
You will ride an average of 4 to 6 hours each day. Confident novice riders are fine, as for most of the trip you will have 2 guides so, if necessary, the group can be spilt into 2 groups. Spanish or Argentinean horses are normally used with either English trekking or western saddles - ideal for a long ay of riding. Each day your horse will be prepared for you but you are welcome to help.

Itinerary

Day 1	Join Claviere
Day 2	Full day riding through larch forests, high alpine meadows and past beautiful lakes
Day 3	Ride through valley to hamlet of Fenils; ascend on balcony trail to Desertes; descend to Oulx
Day 4	Ride through Gran Bosco NP with good chance of spotting roe and red deer; follow ridge to Col di Assietta; descend to Fenestrelle via quaint hamlets
Day 5	Half day visit to the Fenestrelle Fort; afternoon ride through Chisone Valley and along Chisone River to Pragelato
Day 6	Ride into Susa Valley; continue along balcony paths and summer pastures to Claviere; say farewell to horses
Day 7	Train to historic Turin; explore Turin; tour ends
